About Babette

Babette is a founding member of the Alexander Training Institute of Los Angeles (ATI-LA). Since 1986, along with her colleagues, she has trained hundreds of individuals to become certified teachers of the Alexander Technique. For the last 20 years she has been teaching actors in the School of Theater at both USC and CalArts in Valencia.

She holds a degree from the UC Berkeley, and Certification from the American Center for the Alexander Technique (ACAT), New York City. She completed a year-long (2006-7) post-graduate course The Art of Breathing, taught by Jessica Wolf of Yale University. She is past President of the American Center for the Alexander Technique, West, and is a member of AMSAT, the American Society for Teachers of the Alexander Technique.
