
Babette is a founding member of the Alexander Training Institute of Los Angeles (ATI-LA). Since 1986, alongside her colleagues, she has trained hundreds of individuals to become certified teachers of the Alexander Technique. For the past 20 years, she has also taught actors within the School of Theater at both USC and CalArts in Valencia.
She holds a degree from University of California, Berkeley and received her certification from the American Center for the Alexander Technique. She also completed a year-long postgraduate program, The Art of Breathing, taught by Jessica Wolf of Yale University. Babette is a past President of the American Center for the Alexander Technique, West, and is a member of American Society for Teachers of the Alexander Technique.
Known for her calm, intuitive approach and decades of hands-on experience, Babette creates a deeply supportive environment where students and clients can reconnect with ease, balance, and awareness within their bodies. Her work integrates refined technical expertise with a compassionate understanding of the relationship between movement, breath, posture, and overall well-being, helping individuals cultivate lasting physical freedom and greater presence in everyday life.
